Having learned Portuguese by immersion, I know how quickly you learn when faced with the “tyranny of the moment”.

The “tyranny of the moment” comes when you are faced with either speaking English or looking like an idiot or peeing your pants or going hungry. It is when it is not just nice to know English, it is necessary for your survival.

On the other hand, fear of looking stupid prevents many from accelerating their English speaking skills. We will make you comfortable so you’re are not afraid to speak with us during lessons but at the same time we will continually be conversing with you just like we would another American. If you don’t understand a word, we will explain it to you.

Our team of professors consists of Americans living in the United States who also speak Portuguese. They are selected for their skill, playfullness, and love of Brazilians.
